The Foundation held the Annual General Meeting for 2006/2007 on Saturday 20 October at Sydney Venue, North Sydney. A luncheon preceded the meeting and a presentation took place after the meeting. It was great to see our regular supporters there as well as some new members.

Dr. Anne McCormack with Neville, Barbara & Michele
Dr Ann McCormack presented to the group after the AGM. She provided us with some very interesting yet very complex information on the genetics of pituitary tumours and her research.
It is fascinating how complex the human body is. Her presentation prompted a lot of questions as to the familial aspect of pituitary tumours, as well as many other areas of interest related to pituitary tumours.
Dr McCormack also presented information on the latest treatments for aggressive pituitary tumours. Much of the treatment is still in the research stage. For members of the Foundation it is heartening that there is new research happening and of course that it is happening in Australia. The Foundation would like to thank Dr McCormack for her time and for a most interesting presentation and we look forward to furthering links with those conducting research in the field of pituitary tumours.
