Autumn 2009

VIC 02 April 09.jpgSome of our Victoria Members got together on Sunday the 13th of April at the Observatory Cafe in the Botanical Gardens.  Whilst it wasn’t it a huge turn out, we still had a few eager members there.  It was a typical pre winter Melbourne afternoon so the Observatory Cafe was a perfect place to catch up for a coffee!  We also had a new enquirer Susan and her two daughters attend.  Susan had only recently been diagnosed with a Pituitary tumour and has since gone through surgery.  We wish Susan all the very best with her recovery.

I am really hoping that our next get together has a greater attendance.  We are all going through similar issues and sometimes it really helps to just talk about it to others who can empathise.

Spring 2008 Gathering

We were very fortunate to have Sue Kozij in town for last year's Victorian get together on Sunday the 24th of August at the Botanical Garden’s Observatory Cafe.  It was great to catch  up with everyone again.

We also had a chance to say a huge thank you to Pat Hasenrader who has retired from the Victoria State Co-ordinator role.  Pat has volunteered tirelessly for the APF and, along with Jack Kagan, was pivotal in making the APF what it is today.

It was great for those who had not met Sue and those who had, to sit down and have a chat. Sue & I discussed all the great ideas we have for the next 12 months at the APF and the feedback from you all was also appreciated.

Vic_section_1.JPGAs with all our get togethers, family members are more than welcome.  My beautiful little girl Emma accompanied me this time and whilst I did have to race off midway to buy her colouring books to keep her entertained, she did enjoy it and I loved having her there.
