Support Group Morning Tea 14 Nov. 2009
A fantastic display of support from the WA members and families made for a memorable and highly enjoyable morning tea social get together in Perth. We took over three tables at the Peninsula Tea Gardens and were treated to a wonderful view and a beautiful morning tea. It was a great opportunity for members and families – both new and existing to catch up and chat and offer personal insights and support from their own experiences. We were very fortunate to have new members come along and take part and the WA support base really shone as a fantastic network of kind and supportive people willing to take the time to help others out.

A support breakfast was held for members and their families at Jetty’s restaurant in Hillary’s WA. It was a great turnout with 22 people coming along to catch up and chat. The buffet breakfast was enjoyed by everyone and the setting was picturesque on the calm but chilly morning. It was a great opportunity for members to link up and discuss their stories, providing encouragement and support. There was a great mix of new and established members and everyone mixed well and had a great morning!

New Year BBQ!
The WA branch held an evening BBQ for members, friends, and family on Sunday 11 January 2009.
The location was superb, with a lovely fresh breeze flowing off the river keeping us all cool on a very warm day. It was a great chance for members to catch up, relax and enjoy a lovely BBQ, starting 2009 on a great note. The turnout was great, with approximately 20 people attending and mingling together.

A special presentation took place, thanking Elizabeth Howell for her wonderful help as State Coordinator for many years, and thanking Lana Kelly for her ongoing support. Both Elizabeth and Lana have devoted much of their time and efforts to helping the APF since its formation.
