Vision in Paradise - Support for the vision impaired
Colin and Chris McNamara co-ordinate and run “Vision in Paradise” which is a self help not for profit support group for blind and vision impaired people, run from Hollywell on the Gold Coast. President, Colin McNamara (whose vision is impaired due to pituitary disease), co-ordinates information support and advocacy 24/7 for blind and vision impaired people and their families/carers to relieve social isolation, worry and depression. Transition Care Program for young people Adolescence can be a turbulent time for any young person but even more daunting if you have the added stress of having to cope with a chronic illness or disability. The Greater Metropolitan Clinical Taskforce (GMCT) Transition Care Program aims to improve continuity of care for young people with chronic health as they move from paediatric to adult health services.
